Nearly 500 guests gathered at Cipriani 42nd Street on Wednesday night to celebrate the work of Delivering Good and to recognize three outstanding women honorees. Thanks to our generous guests and sponsors, the event raised nearly $1.6 million in support of Delivering Good’s work connecting excess new merchandise with people facing poverty and disaster.
The event recognized the leadership of three incredible women executives, honoring them for their commitment to philanthropy and the use of business as a force for good. Mindy Grossman, Partner, Consello Group was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Jennifer Foyle, President and Executive Creative Director, American Eagle & Aerie received the Vanguard Award, and Carmen Bauza, Board Member Claire’s, Destination XL Group, Zumiez, and OneWater Marine was presented with the Impact Award.
Hosted by Atoya Burlson and Melissa Gonzalez, the program also included remarks by Delivering Good President & CEO, Matthew Fasciano and Board Chair, Andrea Weiss, moving personal stories from Delivering Good partner, Johanna Flores, and the announcement of Delivering Good’s 1 Million Bras Campaign which aims to unite the industry in donating 1 million new bras for underserved women and girls. Thank you to CentricBrands, Commando, Delta Galil Industries, Hanesbrands, Komar, Le Petit Lingerie, The Little Bra Company, Lane Bryant, SPANX, Thirdlove, Wacoal, United Legwear, and Victoria Secret for their lead donations to the campaign which has already raised more than 250,000 new bras.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and participated in a live appeal, and an exciting live auction led by Lydia Fenet, CEO and Founder, Lydia Fenet Agency. Auction items included a week-long stay at Casa Sybil, a modern, fully staffed, hilltop residence in the exclusive gated community at Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, and the opportunity to celebrate a special event or milestone on the giant American Eagle billboard in Times Square that has been dubbed as “one of the world’s most photographed and televised landmarks”. Both items were doubled due to high demand, raising even more funds to support our work.
The evening ended with a special intimate performance by rising pop star, Lindsey Lomis.
