Cousins Ali Suliman and Hakim Sulaimani launched Yafa Cafe in 2019 and the cousins also started to roast an in-house line of coffee during the pandemic.

Drip

Brooklyn, NY 11206

Drip Coffee opened in Bushwick and was deemed an instant hit due to their drinks and service. Owner Nigel Price operated the shop alone in the first six months, and since then he’s hired an entire team. He also has opened a second location in Brooklyn Heights.

% Arabica

20 Old Fulton St
Brooklyn, NY 11201

Some of the freshest coffee beans in the city comes from % Arabica. Its first U.S. location opened in Brooklyn. Customers can buy beans to be roasted on the spot in seven minutes.

Devoción

69 Grand St
Brooklyn, NY 11249

Located in Brooklyn, this Williamsburg roastery and cafe pay homage to Bogota, Colombia.  Every last bean arrives through the mail directly from Colombia just 10 days after being picked. Devoción also has locations in Downtown Brooklyn and Flatiron.

Café Integral

This Nolita cafe by Nicaraguan-American founder César Vega serves Nicaraguan coffee and is a spot that should be on your radar. There  are other items beside a cup of coffee to purchase such as totes, pretty magazines, and of course coffee beans.

Little Collins

This busy Midtown shop serves Australian-style coffee located in an area that is filled with Starbucks.  Flat whites, cold brews, lattes, and many more excellent choices along with food to die for.

Lenox Coffee

New York, NY 10027

Lenox Coffee roasts its beans out of Red Hook and the milk they use is locally sourced from an upstate called Battenkill Valley Creamery. Located in Harlem, it has been open since 2011 and still going strong.
