The Samuel Waxman Institute for Aging & Cancer hosted its 12th Annual Waxman Luncheon at the scenic Riverpark, bringing together leaders from the fashion, philanthropy, and medical communities for an elegant afternoon dedicated to advancing cancer research. The highly anticipated New York charity event raised nearly $250,000, and with a matching contribution from The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research, the total will double to almost $500,000, making it the most successful Waxman Luncheon to date.

This year’s luncheon honored fashion entrepreneur Alexandra Adame and renowned Corcoran Group broker Mary Slattery for their exceptional dedication to supporting cancer research and philanthropic initiatives. Luxury fashion label Safiyaa served as the event’s fashion presenter, adding a sophisticated fashion element to one of New York City’s most stylish charity luncheons.

Guests also participated in an exclusive raffle featuring an $18,000 diamond pendant necklace donated by Brilliant Star, along with live and silent auctions showcasing luxury items from celebrated brands including Judith Leiber, Ippolita, Carlos Falchi, Jimmy Choo, and Kobi Halperin.

Notable attendees included Dr. Samuel Waxman, Marion Waxman, Navarre Rice, Danielle Karnuts of Safiyaa, and Tali Mehdyzdeh from Brilliant Star.

The Samuel Waxman Institute for Aging & Cancer was officially established in 2025 following the merger of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation and The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research. The partnership combines decades of international scientific collaboration with a global network of leading cancer researchers dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in cancer treatment and aging research.
