25 Years of WatchTime Magazine at WatchTime New York

WatchTime Magazine hosted North America’s largest and most influential watch exhibition and collector event returned this year with a high-energy opening night celebration and showcase of new watches. Among the collectors attending the event were actors and watch collectors Aldis Hodge and Fred Savage, and former NBA player Rudy Gay.

Roger Ruegger, WatchTime Magazine Editor-in-Chief, said, “As we head into year nine of WatchTime New York, we are also grateful to celebrate WatchTime Magazine’s 25th anniversary. This event is the living fulfillment of WatchTime’s mission to educate and connect collectors with the watchmakers and brands they love. We can’t wait to mark this milestone moment in New York this fall with our global network of collectors, brand partners, friends, and special guests Aldis Hodge and Fred Savage.”

Sara Orlando, WatchTime Publisher says, “We are so proud that the event has only continued to grow in prestige and has become a true ‘bucket list’ destination experience attracting watch enthusiasts from around the world. Last year, our guests represented 26 different states and seven different countries – with nearly fifty percent of 2023 WatchTime New York attendees being first-time guests. This year is extra special in that we get to celebrate our show and WatchTime’s 25th anniversary, which is no small feat!”

When WatchTime New York first launched in 2015, the revolutionary event concept – part watch exhibition, meetup, and educational forum – forever changed the way brands market to collectors – and the way collectors experience and buy watches. The event was the first of its kind to bring brands, executives, designers, tastemakers, and collectors together in a single forum, inviting connection and fostering community. Over the last nine years, the runaway success of WatchTime New York has helped pull back the industry curtain and propel watch collecting from a solitary, niche pursuit to a mainstream, global, communal experience.

WatchTime New York is set for another year of record attendance. In 2023, over 450 guests attended the opening Friday night festivities – enjoying light bites, an open bar, custom cocktails, exclusive product reveals, and the first chance to see the latest timepieces from 36 brand exhibitors.

The WatchTime New York 2024 brand exhibitors confirmed include: Armin Strom, Arnold & Son, Artime, Bell & Ross, Blancpain, Bovet, Breguet, Bremont, Carl F. Bucherer, Chopard, Chronoswiss, Cyrus, Czapek Genève, Frederique Constant, G-Shock, Gerald Charles, Glashütte Original, Greubel Forsey, Hautlence, H. Moser & Cie., Lang & Heyne, Laurent Ferrier, Massena LAB, MB&F, Moritz Grossmann, Norqain, Parmigiani Fleurier, Perrelet, Piaget, RGM, Speake-Marin, Ulysse Nardin, Urwerk, and Zeitwinkel, with additional brand partners soon to be announced.
