Spring’s most stylish annual event, The Frick Collection Young Fellows Ball made a successful return after two years.  More glamorous than ever, guests celebrated this year’s theme “Modern Love,”. It was inspired by the current year-long installation series Living Histories: Queer Views and Old Masters.

For the first time ever Young Fellows Ball was hosted at the Frick Madison  where nearly 500 guests dressed up inspired by the evening’s romantic theme enjoyed the museum, posed for pictures with portraits and danced the night away to music by Angel + Dren.

“Modern Love,” partygoers showed up dressed to impress in a black tie “with a twist”, capes and impressive accessories. From feathers, to opera gloves to sea shell shaped purses one can truly find style inspiration for the gala season in New York.

This year’s Young Fellows Ball 2022 event took place on a last  Thursday of March, in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue, First Republic Bank, and Carolina Herrera, with additional support from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Desolas Mezcal, and Quinn Rosé.

Proceeds from the Young Fellows Ball 2022 benefit event provide essential support for the Frick’s many activities, including the acclaimed programs of the Frick Art Reference Library and the Education Department, which serves students from New York City public schools in all five boroughs.

THE FRICK COLLECTION AND FRICK ART REFERENCE LIBRARY

Internationally recognized as a premier museum and research center, The Frick Collection is known for its distinguished Old Master paintings and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts. The collection originated with Henry Clay Frick (1849– 1919), who bequeathed his home, paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts to the public for their enjoyment. The institution’s holdings— which encompass masterworks from the Renaissance through the nineteenth century—have grown over the decades, more than doubling in size since the opening of the museum in 1935. A critical component of the institution is the Frick Art Reference Library, founded in 1920 by Helen Clay Frick, daughter of the museum’s founder. Recognized as one of the world’s top art history research centers, it has served students, scholars, and members of the public free of charge for generations. The Frick Collection is currently located at its temporary home, Frick Madison, while its historic buildings undergo renovation and enhancement.
