Bridal Spring 2021

Something old, something new, and something borrowed, will surely stop you from feeling blue. We are taking a look back at some of the best bridal Spring 2021 wedding gowns.

The Viktor & Rolf Spring 2021 Bridal collection is abundant in exquisite detailing and structuring. In the above example, the painstaking detail taken to execute the quilting on the bridal train is very apparent. Other looks in the collection featured similar patterning or uncommon layering for the dresses, as seen in the second photo.

The standout theme observed in the Oscar De La Renta collection is extravagant and elegant. A common idea shared is the elegance in simplicity, but this bridal collection also shows us that the opposite is true as well. The look above is rich in complex floral patterns, yet does not distract or confuse the viewer. Other aspects shown in designs in this collection are skirts with more volume and flowing, eye-catching fabric additions such as layered tulle.

Sheer, satin, and shimmering are the keywords for this collection brought to us by Reem Acra. The dresses in the collection are either of a sheer material, such as lace, or a fabric reminiscent of silk or satin. Regardless of the material, every dress is shining and stunning, some due to pearls or crystals sewn on, while the shimmer of others is the product of their fabric. The photo above shows one of the most attention capturing pieces in the collection.

Galvan

Redefining what we think of when the word ‘bridal’ appears is the Galvan collection. This collection focuses less on the traditional staples of what we assume to be in a bridal outfit (i.e. lace, white flowing trains, etc.), and features more angular styles and dare I say ‘tuxedo chic’. A true highlight of the collection is the effortlessness each look has. The outfit, whether jumpsuit, two-piece, or dress, isn’t forced nor requires the viewer to work to appreciate it.

Amsale

Last, but certainly not least is the Amsale collection, which provides us with a new, more modern take on the traditional bridal image. The looks check all the boxes, from lacy, to extravagant skirts, but where they begin to deviate are in the nuances of the dresses. For example, in the photo, the back of the wedding dress is draped, and reveals a traditional wedding dress lace. What is truly amazing is the method of drapery on the dress and the drama it creates through the reveal.
