There’s not much famous science educator and host Bill Nye, TV personality Dr. OZ, actor Mario Canton, and former host of America’s Next Top Model Nigel Barker have in common. Well, there are a few things, such as being well-known celebrities, and they all have prostates. Those two reasons led them to share a runway, kicking off fashion week for the 2nd annual Blue Jacket Fashion Show at Pier 59 Studios, raising money to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Any gay man knows the importance of the prostate, and the show is spreading awareness to the rest of the public. The Blue Jacket Show initiative is a national awareness campaign designed to demystify and create a platform to openly discuss men’s cancer issues. This year, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, the show, once again, enlisted top designers to donate jackets, which were sported by celebrities volunteering to be models for the night. Designers featured in the show included Michael Kors, Joseph Abboud, John Varvatos, Theory, Todd Snyder, Ryan Seacrest, Thom Browne, Geoffrey Beene, Duckie Brown, Greg Norman, Nick Graham, Gustavo Moscoso, Haspel, Stephen Ferber, Bruno Magli, Son Jung Wan and Edwige Pierre – by Josh Washington.

Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in America, and it is the leading cancerous-related cause of death among men. Part of the Blue Jacket Initiative, the Blue Fashion Show was founded by designer Frederick Anderson and Laura Miller. The night ended with a cocktail reception, and the guests got to mingle with all of the celebrity models. It was a wonderful opportunity to support an important cause while searching for a husband, thus killing two birds with one runway show.
