The Tribeca Film Festival in New York City is known for its celebration of innovative and thought-provoking films from around the world. In 2023, the festival showcased a plethora of captivating movies that left audiences both mesmerized and inspired..us included!
Pop Style TV’s Lauren Conlin attended the red carpet premiere’s of “The Blackening” and “Blood for Dust” – two standout films that graced the screens at the festival this year, and two films that couldn’t be more different.
“The Blackening” a comedy that boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Sinqua Walls (White Men Can’t Jump) and Jermaine Fowler (Coming to America)…the premiere was no exception and the energy on the carpet was amazing. The camaraderie among the cast members was also evident as they shared laughter, hugs, and stories from their experience working on the film. It was a joy to witness these iconic actors in such an intimate setting.
“Blood for Dust” is the dark and gritty brainchild of director Rod Blackhurst, whose creative genius and meticulous attention to detail really elevated the film. The film stars hitters like Josh Lucas, Kit Harrington, Stephen Dorff, and Ethan Supple, who we chatted with on the red carpet. Suplee shares some thoughts about his character in the film, Slim, plus some of his favorite parts.
Through distinct storytelling styles, amazing performances, comedic timing and compelling narratives these Tribeca Film Festival movies offer audiences unique and unforgettable experiences. We highly suggest seeing both in theaters now!
