The New York Botanical Garden’s beloved Holiday Train Show, returns for its 34th year from November 15, 2025, through January 11, 2026. A cherished New York City winter tradition, the show transforms the iconic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory into a miniature wonderland where intricate botanical replicas of nearly 200 New York landmarks sparkle beneath glass, as model trains glide through tunnels, bridges, and twinkling cityscapes.

Each year, the Holiday Train Show delights generations with its enchanting display of craftsmanship and nostalgia. Created by the imaginative artists of Applied Imagination in Kentucky, the G-scale trains weave through meticulously detailed landmarks many built entirely from natural materials such as bark, acorns, seeds, and pinecones. Visitors will spot familiar favorites like the Brooklyn Bridge, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Macy’s along with new additions for 2025, including two breathtaking replicas: the recently renovated Delacorte Theater, home to Shakespeare in the Park, and the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Leonard A. Lauder Building.

The Holiday Train Show remains one of New York City’s most unforgetable holiday attractions. Daytime admission includes full access to the Train Show and the Garden’s historic 250-acre landscape, perfect for a festive family outing or a quiet holiday stroll. Guests can also enhance their visit with an NYBG Membership, which includes free admission to the Train Show and unlimited access to the Garden year-round, an ideal holiday gift.
For a more elevated seasonal experience, Holiday Train Nights offer a magical after-dark celebration on select evenings. Visitors can sip warm cocktails, listen to live music, and stroll through the illuminated exhibits while surrounded by festive lights and holiday cheer. The Conservatory’s vibrant displays, from the desert gallery to the tropical rainforest provide postcard-perfect backdrops for photos and memories alike.
