These days, it feels like Netflix is losing all of its most popular titles. Friends, The Office, and Parks and Recreation, Netflix’s most popular shows in 2018 according to Business Insider, have all left the platform for different streaming services. But Netflix is trying to make up for it, with over 100 new arrivals in June alone. And there’s something for everyone: dramas, documentaries, horror, anime, even kids shows.
A lot of well known titles are slated to join Netflix this month, like award-winning British drama series Downton Abbey. The show came back on June 1 after a couple of years off the platform. The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, the cartoon series, returned as well. Also on June 1, classic movies like The Big Lebowski, What Women Want, and Million Dollar Baby joined Netflix. One of the most exciting arrivals, though, is hit 90’s sitcom Seinfeld, which is coming some time this month. Netflix has yet to confirm the date.
Another anticipated release is the new season of Elite, a popular Spanish teen drama. The new season comes out June 18, but they’re also releasing a series called Elite Short Stories. This will focus on the lives of four main characters of the show with four episodes each. Elite Short Stories: Guzman Caye Rebe comes June 14, Nadia Guzman on June 15, Omar Ander Alexis on June 16, and Carla Samuel on June 17.
Another Netflix Original, hit reality TV series Too Hot to Handle, is also getting another season. The show blew up last year because of its spicy premise of a $100,000 celibacy challenge for hot singles. and if the next season is anything like the first, it’s sure to be entertaining, to say the least. It’ll return on June 23.
Also, a new series called Sweet Tooth came out on June 4. Netflix calls it “a perilous adventure across a post-apocalyptic world” by a “lovable boy who’s half-human and half-deer” and his “gruff protector.” Executive produced by Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, the live action comic book adaptation already has critics raving.
Finally, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie is also new on Netflix. Anime fans will be happy to know that the two part series came out June 3.
