New York Fashion Week unofficially opened in dramatic style as VERDAVAINNE, the luxury womenswear label by designer Cyril Verdavainne, unveiled its Spring 2026 collection at Cipriani Wall Street. The presentation unfolded inside the landmark’s private restaurant and spilled onto its block-long balcony framed by iconic granite columns—an atmosphere as iconic as the collection itself.
The collection unfolded like a journey through a modern garden in bloom, balancing architectural tailoring with fluid romanticism. A spectrum of looks moved from luminous ivories and periwinkles to bold florals, vivid neons, and gilded metallics, each imbued with meticulous handwork — brocades, Guipure lace, embroidery, and sequins that shimmered under the lights. Shirt dresses and portrait gowns shared the runway with trapeze cocktails and sweeping capes, offering both playful freshness and regal drama.
Throughout, Verdavainne’s signature Trapunto belts and sashes provided the collection’s heartbeat, sculpting silhouettes and drawing the eye to the waist with dramatic precision. Standout moments included a neon satin ottoman gown stitched with Trapunto detail, a gilded “Temple” motif gown finished with Swarovski crystal buttons, and a closing sequence of golden sequins, champagne “3D Leaf” motifs, and hand-embroidered tulle—pieces that underscored the house’s mastery of both craft and spectacle. Every printed piece of the collection were original works of art by the designer, and each is protected by copyright.
