Julien Fournié Fall/Winter Haute Couture Collection

Julien Fournié work dazzled in the city of lights. His collection focused on a palette of red, blue, cream and metallics featured luxe fabrics, sheer details and interesting tailoring.
Fournié’s talents were recognized and nurtured by some of the best; from interning at Céline to working as Jean Paul Gaultier’s assistant before expanding to design at Montana Creations and Toreente Haute Couture. In 2009, he branched out creating his own brand, the House of Julien Fournié.Showing inside the gorgeous Oratoire du Louvre, the collection began with menswear inspired pieces in heavy brocade fabrics, later progressing to sheer floaty gowns with plunging necklines. The range of pieces really showcased Fournié’s talent. The bold colors and beaded adornments added interest.
However, it was the brooches, necklaces and other jewels which brought the collection together. These gold and black babbles focused on the sun, moon and stars adding a celestial quality to the runway.
Our favorite looks included a gorgeous gray dress with a sheer jacket and beaded embellishments, A tuxedo inspired look in black with rich reds and metallics running through it and a creamy perfectly structured drop-waist dress. The stunning collection ended with an explosion of confetti as Fournié emerged to take his final bow.
Keep your eyes open as you’re sure to see more from the House of Julien Fournié in the future!
