TACUBA restaurant is now open in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City. Great news for those that would occasionally leave the city for  Tacuba in Astoria for some authentic Mexican tacos. Former Iron Chef America challenger Chef Julian Medina, Louis Skibar and Brian Sobhan invited POP Style TV to “test out” their cocktails and latest menu.

Restaurant’s decor is authentic and cozy. The cantina at 802 Ninth Ave. will serve classic dishes like carne asada and chile relleno with addition of  new starters and main courses.

We loved guacamole and japones but we leave to you to taste latest addition to the menu Omelette de Chapulin. It is Oaxacan grasshopper omelet with Oaxaca cheese and chorizo. Perfect for brunch.
Restaurant features large collection of Tequilas and Mezcal.  We enjoyed more than few “La Refrescante” margaritas.  “Dare Devil” cocktail with Fidencio Mezcal, Agavero liqueur and Campari is great if you dare and are highly tolerant to strong drinks.
